Things I really don't have a problem with

One thing I really don't have a problem with, that many people do, is strippers. I really don't see the big deal. There is nothing wrong with women showing off their bodies for money, as long as they have free choice in the matter. Let's face it, at least in this country, nobody is forced into being a stripper. If a woman needs money there are many other jobs out there they can take, though they may not pay as well. Also, people liken stripping to prostitution. This is ridiculous. Simulated sex is not the same as sex. If it were, then we would have to call any actor or actress that has ever been in a sex scene a porn star. Now, if you want to call a porn actor/actress a prostitute, then you have a case. It is sex for money, after all. Anyways, there really is nothing wrong with strippers, in my opinion, as I have never heard a convincing case for it being so. Feel free to try and change my mind in the comments.

Do you have a problem with prostitutes? Other than prostitution is illegal (which I don't think it should be) what is the problem with prostitutes? Sex is a good thing and it seems much better to pay for sex that you know is safe and with no strings attached (if it were legal and regulated) than to go pick up someone at a bar for equally emotionless sex if you can't get it from another source. Personally I find the concept of strippers amusing. With prostitutes you are at least getting something out of it. With strippers you are basically paying money to get teased. I find that pretty amusing. I have absolutely no problem with people using either service (again assuming legal, regulated prostitution). However, I think that if that someone is in a relationship then use of certain services must be clearly talked about and understood.

As a red-blooded male, I have to say I am not a big fan of strip clubs. Other than bachelor parties, I do not see the point of paying a girl to pretend to like you, and in Kris's words "tease you". What is the point? Maybe I am cheap, but I don't like to drop $50 - $150 on a girl pretending to like me, just so I can see her naked.

paying for Prostitutes on the other hand I can understand. I think it is illegal for 2 reasons. One is health - which is new to modern times (AKA since the 70's). 2nd is because the government can't tax it. If the governemnet could tax prostitutes the same way they can tax strippers, alcohol, and tobacco, I think it would be legalized (I have the same feeling towards marajuana as well).

However,I think I look down on hookers more than I do strippers. I am more willing to give a hooker $20 than a stripper, but I don't think of hookers as doing a job as much as they are whores.

So I guess I'd rather give my money to a whore to blow me, then a good working through college by dancing naked in front of me

Mikey, are you drunk on a Monday morning? That was a very chaotic comment. Anyways, the only thing I have against prostitution are the results of it being illegal and extremely unsafe. Unfortunately, most women who go into prostitution are in it as one of the few ways to support a drug addiction. If made legal and very strictly regulated, I'd have to rethink my position.

I think porn actors/actresses cannot be called prostitutes if they believe that what they are doing is art. You take away freedoms if you take away the ability to believe something is art.
