Contest over

Alright, two rounds is more than long enough to drag this thing out. It's now up to the three founding members of this blog to decide on a winner. DrX and phishbone, do either of you think any of the posters in this contest are worth keeping? I'm just letting you know, I'm keeping Mummy Hitler. He won't post much, but he's got a good shtick. You guys want to keep any of the others?

You took away my rights. Just wanted to mention that Kev and Fish's favorite man (Sasha Kahn) went to Seattle - soon to be OK City. Maybe if we do the NCAA tourney in Houston next year we can go see him too. Love the Kahn

Mummy Hitler is not great. He's a little hackneyed. Bad jokes. But still often funny. And at least he's trying, and that puts him miles above the other posters.

Maybe it's because I don't know the other posters, but I just don't get a sense of fun or personality in their posts. Kris is too serious, and doesn't seem to fit the spirit of BFB. Maybe should make her own bike oriented blog. Mikey makes no frigging sense, and seems to have nothing to say, by his own admission.

Mummy Hitler ftw.

Yeah, I agree with DrX on pretty much everything. Mummy Hitler may be best utilized as an occasional curveball, just to mix things up. If he posts regularly it will get old very quickly.

Kris understands how to blog, and has been a good sport, but just doesn't fit the spirit of BFB as a regular poster.

I found Mikey's first post pretty funny, but I really don't think he's going to put any effort into this, at all. DrX and Fish already have that role covered. I was more looking for someone that would post regularly, rather than a couple of times a month.

Well, if anyone else wants to give this posting thing a try, just speak up anytime and we can have an impromptu contest.

Sorry, still not funny. What can I say? Don't be mad, we still encourage you all to comment and participate in discussions. I'm just looking for something else in a regular poster.

It's not you, it's me.

Although, doing a little dance in a monkey suit would be a step in the right direction...

Kev,

Why would I be mad? It is what it is. I'm not particularly shocked that you and your brother found me too serious. This has been a common accusation. I had a problem with that when I was in the improv troupe in college. I found their humor to be banal and boring and they found me to be too sarcastic and caustic. That's life. If I lived my life needing everyone approval I would end up heavily medicated and unhappy. So as long as Fish is happy and I am happy I can't be mad.

Guys, I have to go the other way. If MH is good for a post here and there, then why not let Mikey and Kris be good for one here and there as well. Sure, they won't blog as regularly, but why do we care if they have the priveleges? Kris' post about the idiocy of the Texas legislative/car insurance policies was pretty damn amusing. I like a good "this place is messed in the head" post every once in awhile. And Mikey's Hoffs updates will end with the season, meaning he will revamp as well. Just sayin.....

Contrary to popular beleif in your state, people who don't live in Texas don't really give a fuck about Texas. If Mikey, Kris, BG or anyone else has something entertaining to blog about in the future, we can let them be a guest poster. I just don't want to have a dozen regular posters on the blog, as it would just be too damn confusing and all over the friggin place.

And Mummy Hitler is a special exception, because he eliviates my boredom, and can save me from writer's block.

Kev, I don't know what is going on down in North Carolina but you normal somewhat amusing amount of cranky bitterness has escalated to the point where you are becoming worrisome. Maybe I just don't know you well enough to know this Kev, but I am truly a little worried. You know you may not care about Texas since you don't live there, but we have a deep fryer and if you need a vacation you know you are always welcome. We can spend hours battering and deep frying things if that would make you happy.

I am cranky and bitter because you all dissapointed me with your blog posts. I expected better.
