Grand ponderance of the day.....

If God exists, then why not make it known in an unambiguous way? The fact that we have a free choice to believe or not believe, makes me think that He/She/It either does not exist, or does not care. So why should we care? I think religion is for people that have a need to be told what to do all the time. The next time I have an encounter with a police officer, I think I will call him Reverend.

Religion is an evolutionary adaptation, coming from brains that are too big. It's easier to live in a society if you think there's a greater purpose to everything.

Admit it, deep down you really kind of think that maybe there's "something more" out there. No matter how rational/logical/scientific you otherwise are. (Disclaimer -- I am a devout atheist.) We'll never escape from that, and maybe as a society can't.
